The Patient

The patient, a 62 year old Caucasian female, presented with two restrictive frenums – maxillary labial and buccal – that created significant tension and could lead to gingival recession.

The Laser

Dr. Sutter uses a LightScalpel CO2 laser. The tip never touches the patient. The laser beam instantly cauterizes as it cuts the tissue.

Post-Operative Checkups

Dr. Sutter shows the healing process and checks for reattachment. During the first checkup he notes the healing and that the frenectomies were a success. During the second checkup he notes the pink tissue, excellent healing, and a lot less tension compared to preoperative.
